About the HEIC to JPG/PNG converter

iPhones and iPads save photos in the HEIC format by default. HEIC, based on the HEIF standard, stores good-quality images in compact files, but many Windows programs, older Android devices, websites and online forms still cannot open it. The TConverter HEIC converter turns these photos into JPG or PNG, the two formats that practically every device, app and upload form accepts.

The conversion runs entirely in your browser. When you start it, the page loads a HEIC decoder and processes each photo on your own device, so your pictures are never uploaded to a server. This is especially reassuring for personal photos of family, documents or anything else you would rather not send to a third party. Because there is no upload, the speed depends only on your device and the size of the photos.

You can convert many photos in one go. Add HEIC or HEIF files by dragging them onto the page or selecting them from your device, and they appear in a list with their file size. You can remove individual files or clear the whole list before converting. Photos are converted one after another, and each row shows whether it is waiting, in progress, finished or failed, so a single damaged file does not stop the rest of the batch.

Choose JPG when you want smaller files for sharing, email or social media; JPG output is saved at 92 percent quality, which keeps photos looking natural. Choose PNG when you need a lossless copy, for example for further editing, keeping in mind that PNG files are considerably larger. If a HEIC file contains several images, only the first one is converted. Converted files keep their original names with the new extension, so IMG_1234.HEIC becomes IMG_1234.jpg.

Each finished photo has its own Download button, and when several photos are finished, the “Download all as ZIP” button saves them together in a single ZIP file. The tool is free, works without registration and runs in any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. HEIC photos are decoded and converted entirely in your browser, so they never leave your device.

Can I convert multiple HEIC files at once?

Yes. Add as many HEIC or HEIF files as you like to the list and click Convert; they are processed one after another.

Should I choose JPG or PNG?

JPG is the better choice for sharing and everyday use because files are much smaller. PNG is lossless and suits further editing, but the files are larger.

Will the photo quality drop?

JPG output is saved at 92 percent quality, which keeps photos looking natural in normal viewing. PNG output is lossless.

Can I download all converted photos at once?

Yes. When more than one photo is converted, “Download all as ZIP” packs them into a single ZIP file, so your browser does not have to download many files one by one. Photos with the same name are numbered inside the ZIP.

Is the HEIC converter free?

Yes. It is free to use and requires no account or installation.
